CAMS ImpactAir 140 Portable Microbial Air Monitor

$0.00

The ImpactAir 140 from U.K based Clean Air Monitoring Solutions (CAMS) is a latest generation microbial air monitor designed for continuous microbial monitoring in pharmaceutical manufacturing, hospitals, universities, research facilities and other controlled environments. The unit is the premier choice for continuous microbial air monitoring in high-grade areas where in-process sampling of viable particles is crucial. This advanced system is engineered for environments where precision and reliability in air monitoring are paramount.

The CAMS ImpactAir 140 is designed to be fully compliant with the latest ISO 14698, EN-17141 and EU GMP Annex 1 requirements. Incorporating the latest slit to agar rotating head technology, these units have an industry leading d50 value of only 0.5um with exceptional biological efficiency. One of the greatest benefits to customers is their unique ability to sample for 4 hours continuously using only 1 rotating standard 90mm agar plate. This saves facilities a HUGE amount of time and money every day (per location) and these instruments pay for themselves very quickly in consumable cost savings.

Key Features

Uses Larger 14 cm Petri Dishes
Allows for extended sampling periods on a single dish, accommodating deep fill agar plates for several hours of sampling.

Programmable Sampling Time
Flexibility to set sampling from a few minutes to many hours, with a standard 1 m³ volume sampled in just over 35 minutes at a flow rate of 1 cubic foot per minute.

Precision Sensing and Control
The first in its class to automatically adjust the distance between the inlet and the agar surface during operation, maintaining a consistent d50 sampling efficiency, as validated by Public Health England (PHE) through rigorous independent testing.

Particle and Vibration Control
Designed to operate without shedding particles, making it suitable for use alongside particle counting devices and sensitive equipment like balances, thanks to its very low vibration.

  • User variable sampling time from 1 minute to 4 hours continuously on a single 140mm (14cm) agar plate
  • Designed to SAVE facilities considerable money in agar plate use. Drop from typically 36 plates a day (per location) down to only 2
  • The return on investment (ROI) for customers can be as fast as 3 to 6 months, depending on usage
  • Reduces the risks associated with humans setting up, removing, transporting and incubating agar plates

cams impactair 90 samplers

The ImpactAir 140 stands out in its field for its unique design and operational efficiency, ensuring that critical environments remain under stringent control for air quality. This system not only meets but exceeds the demands of high-grade area monitoring, providing peace of mind with its robust performance and reliable results. Whether you need precise microbial monitoring or integration into sensitive environments, the ImpactAir 140 delivers exceptional performance every time.

ImpactAir 140 Technology

The CAMS ImpactAir 140 draws air at a high velocity through a very narrow inlet slit. As air passes through, particles, including microbes, impact directly onto the surface of an agar in a Petri dish. The dish rotates slowly under the inlet, ensuring that fresh agar surfaces are consistently exposed to the incoming air. This method significantly reduces the chance of ‘twin impingement’, a common issue in sieve type samplers where two microbes can land at the same spot and appear as a single colony upon incubation.
