WAITING TIME vs REALTIME

Current airborne microbial monitoring uses interval, ad-hoc and event-driven sample collections,

which require incubation. The Micron View BAMS uses AFU to count microbes, and the monitoring results

can be viewed in real time without the need for culture or counting.

Real-time microbial monitoring is a cutting-edge approach that offers several advantages in enhancing traditional microbial monitoring programs. Here are some benefits:

Immediate Detection and Response

Real time microbial monitoring provides instant feedback on microbial levels, allowing for immediate detection of any anomalies or deviations from the norm. This enables rapid response strategies to mitigate risks before they escalate into larger issues.

Enhanced Accuracy and Precision

Continuous monitoring provides a more comprehensive understanding of microbial trends and patterns. It offers a higher level of accuracy in detecting fluctuations, which may not be captured in periodic sampling methods.

Complementary to Periodic Monitoring

Real time microbial monitoring complements periodic monitoring programs by offering a more dynamic and continuous assessment. While periodic monitoring provides snapshots of microbial levels at specific intervals, real-time monitoring fills the gaps between these snapshots, offering a more complete picture of microbial activity.

Early Warning System

Real time monitoring acts as an early warning system, alerting you to potential contamination or irregularities in microbial levels. This proactive approach minimizes the risk of product spoilage or contamination events.

Process Optimization

Continuous monitoring allows for the optimization of processes in real time. By closely tracking microbial data, adjustments can be made promptly to optimize conditions and prevent microbial proliferation or contamination.

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements

Many industries have stringent regulations regarding microbial levels in their products or environments. Real time microbial monitoring can assist in ensuring compliance with these regulations by maintaining microbial levels within acceptable limits consistently.
