The EU is currently revising the air quality regulatory requirements to align them more closely with the recommendations of the World Health Organization. On March 29th, 2023 at 6pm to 7pm AEST Tomas Prokop from PALAS will talk about:
- Process of alignment of the EU air quality standards based on the last scientific knowledge, which has explicitly pointed out the risk to human health by specific air pollutants
- Air quality assessment to be improved by allowing for state-of-the-art monitoring methods strengthening of monitoring strategies and policies applied
- Suitable monitoring technology to understand the formation of secondary pollutants and to identify relevant emissions by source apportionment to avoid the buildup of excessive pollution concentrations
