The Palas Fidas Frog communicates via WLAN (wireless LAN) with its wireless operator´s control panel (tablet PC). In doing so, it is possible to make measurements on a site and or over great distances and access those measurements remotely on the controlling tablet PC. This concept furthermore allows for the integration of one or more Fidas Frog dust monitors in an existing network and the control of those connected devices from ONE central PC control tablet. The Fidas Frog is based on widely used and globally recognized optical light scattering measurement technology. It is capable of measuring single particles with very high accuracy and resolution and is equipped with an LED light source with high intensity (DP min = 180nm), highly stable output, and a very long life expectancy.
The sensor and the evaluation routines within the Palas Fidas Frog is the same technology that is used in the Palas FIDAS 200 higher-level instruments. The Palas FIDAS 200 generation of aerosol spectrometers are highly accurate CERTIFIED PM2.5 and PM10 measurement instruments which have been VALIDATED in comprehensive comparison campaigns when compared to gravimetric reference methods. The calibration of the instrument can also be checked and adjusted, if necessary, easily and quickly in the field by the end-user with the help of a mono disperse test powder available from Palas. The Palas Fidas Frog operates with a volume flow of 1.4 l/min and is equipped with sensors for monitoring environmental conditions such as temperature, atmospheric pressure, and relative humidity.
