Palas Mas-Q-Check Disposable Mask Test System

$0.00

The PALAS Mas-Q-Check is a portable state-of-the-art quantitative aerosol spectrometer based testing system capable of testing N95 / P2 respiratory masks, filter media, respirators and other devices. Mask testing can be performed in as little as 60 seconds and there is NO need to destroy (punch a hole in) the mask in the process, unlike with some alternative test systems. The MAS-Q-CHECK operates in a similar way to some test systems on the market (taking a sample inside the mask and outside the mask and comparing the two). This unit provides fast, accurate and highly reliable data, including the % penetration efficiency of the mask, as well as actual real-time particle counting and sizing data across 64 high resolution particle size channels. So, you can actually SEE what sized particles are getting through the mask and what the particle counts / numbers are across 64 size channels over a very wide 140nm to 10um particle size range.

Measurement Capabilities

  • The % penetration of particles by measuring particles inside the mask versus outside the mask
  • Once you know the numbers inside the mask and outside you can convert this to a “fit factor” if you wish
  • The particle size of each individual particle inside and outside the mask
  • The particle counts of each individual particle inside and outside the mask

Key Benefits

  • Fast results in 60 seconds
  • No need to destroy your masks or punch holes in them
  • No consumables (alcohol etc)
  • No expensive annual calibration costs, the unit comes with its own calibration dust to check, calibrate and adjust the unit IF needed
  • No need to use aerosol generators to test masks, works from normal ambient air (options are available however)
  • 140nm to 10um wide particle size range
  • 145nm to 100um extended particle size range when used in expert mode (spectrometer mode)
  • In spectrometer mode, the unit can be used for ALL sorts of filter testing and aerosol monitoring applications indoors and outdoors
  • The same technology is used in the PALAS PMFT 1000-M filter testing systems should you wish to upgrade to a full test system
  • 64 high-resolution particle size channels
  • You get to count and size particles as well display the % penetration
  • 0 to 20,000 particles per cm/3 particle concentration range
  • 9.5 LPM or 95 LPM flow rate
  • Self-explanatory operation
  • Incorporates the latest PALAS PROMO LED 2300 spectrometer
  • The latest optical light scattering technology
  • Ultra-long life LED light source technology
  • Quick easy and exact measurement of the degree of protection of masks on site
  • Quality control of masks in daily use
  • Real evaluation of the degree of protection from filtration efficiency and leakage combined.
  • Fully automated testing
  • Clear distinction of protection degree in the size range of viruses, bacteria and above
  • Large 800 x 480 Pixel 7-inch color touch screen interface
  • Digital 20MHz processor with 256 raw data channels

Typical Applications

  • Confirmation of the degree of protection of masks
  • Confirmation of the protection of employees working in the medical environment
  • Training to show the correct use of masks with direct measurement of the degree of protection
  • Evaluation of the real degree of protection in comparison of the FFP Class

Available Models

  • Mas-Q-Check Basic with a volume flow of 9.5 l/min
  • Mas-Q-Check Professional with a volume flow of 95 l/min (pictured)

Accessories

The PALAS Mas-Q-Box consists of an aerosol chamber with an aerosol generator for oil and salt aerosols (we recommend this accessory in combination with Mas-Q-Check Professional). The head with the installed mask is inserted into the aerosol chamber. A PALAS PAG 1000 aerosol generator is used to introduce the aerosol into the chamber. In this way, the degree of separation of the mask at the head can be determined with a defined aerosol. This enables the separation efficiency of everyday masks to be determined quickly and easily in accordance with the new EU directive CAW 17553.
