Description
The SFP Services 5000V is a sodium chloride aerosol generator commonly for use with SFP Services sodium flame photometers.
Purpose
- To generate a test aerosol and operate in conjunction with 2 Low Flow Photometers
Air Supply
- 300 l/min at 6 bar, clean, dry, oil free air
Na. Cl. Solution
- 100g Na. Cl./ Liter
- Na. Cl. to be of laboratory grade, Water to be a distilled or de-mineralised
Test Aerosol
Operated at 6 bar, air pressure a poly dispersed aerosol with a range of particles from 0,05 up to 1,2 um, with a mass median diameter of 0,6um when measured physically using the longest diagonal, or 0,4um when measured aerodynamically.
Concentration
When aerosol is dried with clean dry air to a total flow of 100 l/m the Na Cl concentration is approx 220 mg/m3, per outlet 1&2 or 3&4. Note: Lower concentrations can be achieved by reducing the solution Na Cl concentration; this will not affect the particle size until the concentration falls below 20g/l. This aerosol generator includes a 10:1 diluter so high challenges can be monitored by the low flow photometers.
